    R&D

  • About me

My career path began in 2013 after 3 years of a bachelor's degree in chemistry at the Institut Paul Lambin and led me to discover university research and quality control in the pharmaceutical industry before joining the IRE.

I devote my free time to my family, reading, travelling, hiking in the countryside (mainly in the mountains), drawing, DIY, gardening and climbing; but as I no longer have the time to do so, I have replaced it with aerial/trapeze fabric (to keep my height!).

  • My work at IRE

I have been working at IRE since June 2016 where I was hired by the Downstream Production department to take care of part of the management of low-level waste. In February 2018, I joined the R&D department to work as a laboratory technician on the chemical process part of the SMART project.

The technicians' main job is to carry out tests in the laboratory. We work closely with the researchers to exchange ideas and move the projects forward.
The R&D department is responsible for improving and supporting production processes on the one hand and developing new products on the other.

I am also the main contact with the official bodies that audit us and issue our approvals, certifications and accreditations .
A wide variety of tasks are involved: management of the correct application of the documentary system, regulatory watch, reception, staff training and awareness-raising, management of non-conformities, risk analyses and customer complaints, organisation and implementation of internal audit planning, organisation of annual management reviews, monitoring of laboratory performance. Good organisation, a great deal of communication and rigour are essential, because compliance with all these processes also contributes to maintaining our certifications and accreditations, official recognition of our competence and good organisation.
